[He lunges forward, shoulder first, eager to grasp Jack by the shoulder and side. Cori wants to introduce the Captain's back to the pool table.]

[Watching Cori wind up, Jack automatically dropped into an expression and stance of pure 'bring it!' which is no doubt how he ended up picked up and smacked hard into the pool table.

Curling over Cori's back, Jack grasped his hands together and brought a punishing dual fisted hammer punch right down on the nightmare's rib cage.

It's a love tap, really.]

[It's a mix of a grunt and a growl. Unprepared for the impact to his ribs, he releases Jack immediately to keep from getting winded. But he's quick too and grasps at another cue to bring down on the Captain in an effort to pin him to the green felt.

The noise isn't so conspicuous in a bar of all places, but it is slightly odd!]

[Always count on Jack to talk! He takes the opportunity to grab a stool in mid sentence and bring it down on the good Captain. It's worthy of note; Cori has yet to brandish his knife, a weapon he's actually good with!]

The term we want here children is 'ow!fuck' as the stool splintered to pieces across Jack's body, bloodying his temple and the corner of his mouth as well as cracking across his torso and neck.]

[The kick knocks him back enough to stumble against the wall. Cori spits blood on the floor but he looks quite pleased with himself now despite the staining going down his face. It's his turn to make a 'bring it!' gesture.

Too bad Jack wasn't thinking about this as he gained his feet and with a filthy sort of chuckle, took Cori up on that 'bring it'. Charging him low, Jack was going to attempt to pick him up at the waist and maybe plant both their asses into that table right back 'thataway'!]

[He doesn't move out of the way fast enough, captured in his own trap of cockiness. His back hits the table with a hard crash, hard enough to make the blood on his face fleck.]

[And quickly his legs hook around Jack's hips, to keep him from disengaging in their fight, and maybe to turn the tables so he's on top. Cori is thinking of Blue too... how Blue is going to make him take up the couch tonight.]
