I believe that it is more important and vital to life to attend to your own hole because if you don't do it well yourself, how can you expect anyone else to do the same. Clearly, evidence within the film, such relationships where one over invests themselves in another's hole well being satisfaction can't be even distributed. The party who gives to much ends up boring the givee.
