Don't you know sensationalizing death is another way of proving true that it's not murder if no one misses you? Do something about it or shut the fuck up, it was sloppy work for chrissake.

[Private to C. Styles]

Here's your report.

Her name's Naomi Misora, a former FBI agent. She joined the bureau around 9/11 and handled a fair amount of homicides in the Los Angeles area, including the L.A. BB Serial Murder Case (never heard of it myself). She left the bureau a couple years later after becoming engaged to a fellow Agent Raye Penbar, but the little lady became a widow before they ever had a wedding. Agent Penbar died of a heart attack in Japan in 2003, shortly after Christmas, something to do with a suspected "Kira." She has trouble reconciling the fact that her favorite filling (white chocolate raspberry) resembles DOAs on occasion (shotgun blast to the face).

Anything else?

I prefer silence. And some level of professionalism. Or at least discretion.

Subtlety escapes thee. You'll get used to it after living here for a time.

I know machines. You aren't one of them.

I suppose that's a wayward sort of compliment, or a forward sort of insult.

Few can appreciate it, least of all machines.

I've never heard it put that way. Usually it's called acting like a tasteless prick.

Is it? I don't think you do.
