I used to tend in New York City, and you know what's the hardest part about being a bartender? It's figuring out who's drunk and who's just plain stupid.

[Quickly opening the balisong handle to flip one side over Blue's blade and trap it, simultaneously hooking his elbow out from the opposite direction for Blue's face.]

[twists his face away and goes for a leg to the side]

[Taking the blow to his side with a grunt. He flips Japan in a flash, releasing the sword and cutting downward with Germany for Blue's ankle.]

[sword flips up and the hilt goes for Cori's rib, but Blue's footwork falters and a Germany bites in]

[Another grunt, that's going to bruise but it's better than getting stabbed. He stumbles to the side. A quick turn and he has both knives slashing across; one high and one low.]

[parries one and twists away from the other, letting Cori's inertia carry him past them, then slices to the back of Cori's legs]

[Catching the sound of that one, he rolls forward and back up to his feet, snowed a bit but he doesn't laugh as he turns, knives ready. On second thought, he throws Germany at Blue.]

[sees the blade, but it's pure luck that makes it miss - he ducked too low for the swipe to work, but the blade goes right over his head]

[takes a deep breath and goes in again]

[What was that? As soon as the blade goes flying he's already dashing forward, Japan out and ready. He twists to sidestep the direction of that sword and brings the balisong down for the crevice between Blue's neck and shoulder.]

[slippery footing makes Blue misstep, and where his neck and shoulder would be is now only his arm, which Cori lands. Blue grabs onto Cori and twists them together, planting the sword around Cori's neck]

[Japan's almost fully embedded in Blue's arm, keeping Cori engaged, but he has no room to spare now that the sword is kissing his throat. He stares at Blue.]

[takes a deep breath and lets go, moving away and grabbing at his bleeding arm]

I'm not bland, or boring.

[The balisong slides out with a wet sound. He flicks the blood along the snow.]

Is that what's bothering you?

[Wound check. Hiss, the shoulder cut stings.]

[stumbles over to the witchcloak and pulls out a roll of gauze]

Let's go inside.

[He pulls Germany out of a snow covered tree then opens the door for Blue.]

[sits cross-legged on the futon and shrugs off his coat before turning on the heaters and wrapping his arm]

[looks up at Cori]

[Grabbing his jacket then making sure there's no one else out there before he shuts the door.]

Your wrist.

[Reminding him, as that cut wasn't as cleanly executed as the stab. He comes closer to Blue, his sleeve already well stained.]

Bandage it up.

[Given the choice, he takes the gauze and wraps Blue's wrist, carefully and proficiently.]

[once he's done, Blue looks at the bandaging and nods once, and moves forward for a deep kiss]

[Accepting that kiss, deep and hotter from exertion. Then he pulls back.]

I like you, that takes you out of the bland and boring box.

[brief pause and another kiss, then Blue slips back onto the futon]

I don't normally let that stuff bother me.

[Pursing his lips again, and for once not going to get his cigs. He unbuttons his shirt to check out that shoulder wound. He's already got a bruise spreading on his ribs.]
